After 3 years of careful planning and development by five leading public media organizations—APM, NPR, PBS, PRI, and PRX—the Public Media Platform (PMP) is now ready and open for business.

A hypermedia API, the PMP reinvents how digital content (audio, video, stories, and images) and public media programming is delivered to websites, apps, and mobile devices. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) is funding this groundbreaking collaboration provides the industry’s first ever cross-media digital distribution system, with the ultimate goal of bringing public media to a larger audience.
