As I'm sure you know, the 20th FIFA World Cup is well underway in Brazil. Did you know that TV ratings for the last World Cup in 2010 rose by 68% from the previous World Cup? By all accounts, interest and ratings will continue to rise this year.
This time around, we have an opportunity to capitalize on this interest. While PBS doesn’t really cover sports, we are uniquely positioned to provide a deeper look at many of the participating countries.
Therefore, we built a special collection of content that will allow fans to learn about the history and culture of the host nation, Brazil, and each of the 3 U.S. opponents: Ghana, Germany, and Portugal.
Bentomatic pages for these sites are available now, so reach out to your SPI rep, or email email@example.com to see how easy it is to install these pages on your site.
In the meantime, please check out the existing World Cup page and, as usual, feel free to share it with all of your friends. Go USA!
