Detroit Public Television will host a LIVE Q&A with legendary musician and producer Don Was that will be available for Stations to embed.

  • WDET’s Ann Delisi will conduct an in-depth conversation with legendary music producer and Michigan native Don Was, who is featured in the groundbreaking PBS series SOUNDBREAKING which broadcasts over eight nights in November. 
  • DPTV will simulcast Facebook Live and has provided an embed code if you would like to host the event on your website or other digital platforms in an extended effort to promote the series. 
  • The content will feature an inside look at the creation of the series as well as general conversation with Don Was about his experience in the music industry in Detroit and nationally.

SOUNDBREAKING was the last project produced by legendary music producer Sir George Martin who passed away on March 8. The series combines unprecedented access to some of the most celebrated music artists, producers and innovators with rare archival studio footage and an extensive musical soundtrack, to deliver one of the most wide-ranging series on the art of music recording.
