Register for YoPro DC, a Regional Meeting for Future Public Media Leaders

Professional development is important, but it’s challenging to find the time, resources and opportunities to devote to learning and growing, especially if you are new to your organization or if you’ve moved into a new role. YoPro, an initiative geared towards supporting public media staff early in their careers or beginning management roles, was created to help address these challenges.
Traditionally, YoPro has held one main event, taking place prior to PBS Annual Meeting. Over the years, YoPro has broadened beyond one main event and has expanded its focus to include hosting sessions at PBS TechCon, NETA and internal or virtual events. This coming year, YoPro is excited to produce two in-person regional workshops in 2019!
The first YoPro regional event, YoPro DC, will be on February 15th, 2019 at the PBS National Office. The agenda is packed with powerhouse public media speakers who will share their experiences navigating professional waters, career advancement, and project management. A portion of the day will consist of attendees working together on collaborative exercises related to problem solving and station challenges.
Look for more information about the second YoPro regional which will take place later this year at a member station.

Registration and Travel Assistance:
This event is FREE and open to all public media staff but registration is required. We know resources are tight, so YoPro is offering travel stipends for those in need of travel assistance.
