Hispanic Heritage Month 2017 Resources

Last Updated by Nik Eley-Carr on

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!

In partnership with Latino Public BroadcastingWORLD ChannelAmerican Documentary and PBS Member Stations, we will turn a lens onto audiences September 15 – October 15 to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM) through user-contributed photos & videos.  We want to celebrate the people, places, food, music, history that our audiences love & want others to know and remember as we mark HHM.

Each week, a new set of films and digital shorts will help prompt audiences to share a memory of the people, ideas, and moments in history that are important to them through their favorite social networks — through a photo or video.  All memories using the hashtag #MiHistoria (and tag @PBS) will be aggregated onto PBS.org and shared across PBS platforms to help celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.

We have prepared a suite of resources (social videos, bentomatics, a film quiz) for you to use throughout the month.  To sign up for weekly emails with recommended social copy & graphics, please reach out to nreleycarr@pbs.org.
