The Great British Baking Show Season 3 Assets

On your marks, get set, BAKE!
The Great British Baking Show (PBS.org/britishbakingshow) is returning to PBS stations this week with Season 3 airing through July and August. This season corresponds to the BBC’s Season 6 of The Great British Bake-Off. We have seen an ecstatic reaction from the audience since the new season was announced in June, especially with the popularity of Season 1 on Netflix. We want to be sure that stations have numerous opportunities to leverage the opportunity, as well as share with us any plans you have in your ovens!
Streaming Plan: The full episodes will be available each morning after the initial Friday night broadcast through your local COVE portal, as well as all PBS Anywhere devices (PBS iPad and iPhone apps and OTT devices - Roku, AppleTV, Amazon Fire, etc).
In addition to full episodes, PBS Food will be adding clips from each episode to COVE including the individual contestant bio clips from the premiere episode. The historical segments from the end of the episodes will be added to COVE as well.
Note for Passport Stations: The Great British Baking Show is regularly one of the most popular programs in the Passport library. We encourage Passport stations to promote binge-watching since Season 1 and Season 2 are only available in Passport.
Where You Can Find Promo Assets:
Source: Social assets are available on the Source, and more will be added throughout the season.
Weekly Tweets/Posts: The PBS Marketing team will be posting weekly promo language for social that stations can grab from myPBS including assets for The Great British Baking Show.
GIPHY: All GIFs created for Season 3 will be uploaded to the PBS GIPHY account. If stations would like to access them, GIFs that were created for past seasons are available in the PBS Food GIPHY account. When adding GIFs to tweets, simply search “Great British Baking Show” to quickly find them.
We hope you’ll join @PBSFood and @PBS for our weekly live-tweeting of each episode on Friday nights using #PBSBakingShow, and we promise there will be no spoilers. We also have a social feature on the Great British Baking Show site (PBS.org/britishbakingshow) where fans can tweet their support for their favorite baking with pre-made branded graphics (see an example).
We would love to help promote your efforts. For example, WETA has done episode recap posts on their Tellyvisions blog that is centered around British content. We hope you’ll join our weekly live-tweeting on the episode using #PBSBakingShow.
Is your station coordinating your own promotion around the show? Please tell us by emailing your PBS Digital representative directly or firstname.lastname@example.org.
