Engage Facebook Audiences with Point Taken, New Late-night Debate Series

Point Taken, the new late-night debate series with Emmy Award-winning host Carlos Watson, premieres April 5.

A key goal for the series is audience participation through social media before, during and after each week’s broadcast.  PBS and WGBH are pleased to announce that the first three episodes of Point Taken will be available on Facebook, Tuesdays at 11pm ET, coinciding with their respective broadcast feeds. Additionally, all Point Taken episodes will be simulcast on the Point Taken web site (pbs.org/point-taken).

With Facebook’s emergence as an influential video platform, this is an opportunity for Facebook’s vast audience to discover and connect with the series, and each other, during the 11pm ET broadcasts. By sharing the link from Point Taken’s Facebook page onto your station’s Facebook page, your followers will be able to watch full episodes and interact in the comments. Point Taken is a bold experiment in reaching new audiences — and allows public television stations to expand online engagement beyond primetime.
